The People of AFS: Clinical Team

Angela Smith, M.A., E.D.D.

brings over twenty years of experience as a nurse practitioner specializing in reproductive medicine to her role as a mid-level practitioner at our Hackensack, New Jersey office. In that capacity she routinely monitors IUI and IVF cycling patients. Angela works closely with Drs. Husami and Vidali to ensure that our cycling patients in New Jersey receive the best possible protocols to optimize the outcomes of their infertility treatments.

As the clinical supervisor of our New Jersey office, Dr. Smith is available to assist our patients' needs and answer any of their questions and concerns. Her efforts, in coordination with the rest of our New Jersey staff, allow AFS to provide our New Jersey patients with a network of personalized care, including 24/7 access to medical advice and emotional support.

Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Hunter College, her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center, and her M.A. in Nursing from New York University. Angela has recently completed a Doctorate in Nursing from Teacher's College, Columbia University. She researched and wrote her dissertation on the experiences of women with premature ovarian failure. With over fourteen years of practice in the field of reproductive endocrinology, Angela brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to the treatment of infertility at our New Jersey office.
